Ezio Greggio is trying hard to make us laugh. The film is full of gags but you can not have fun at all of them, many are downright infantile. I smiled at the scene with that huge coffin, that's all. Massive inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" and Jonathan Demme's "The Silence of the Lambs", the film is lost somewhere in the "purgatory" of these two masterpieces. The result is a mediocre parody. Not even the presence of Martin Balsam, the original detective in "Psycho" doesn't save the film. Not even the beauty of Joanna Pacula. Neither the sexy forms of the little Charlene Tilton. Not even Mel Brooks in his short scene. Not even those 3 cameos of John Landis, Joe Dante and John Carpenter. Ezio Greggio is OK, he has a lot of imagination but, it's not funny. Dom DeLuise(very funny comic actor in other movies) and Billy Zane are both commonplace. You will need someone to tickle you in your sensitive areas, or to tickle yourself, to succeed to laugh...

THE SILENCE OF THE HAMSWow... this is a blast from the past. I remember buying this movie on VHS when it first came out. It is a spoof of a lot of movies that were recent back when it was released. Some of the movies it parodies is The Slience of the Lambs, Psycho and Basic Instinct. This is a good film, but its not the best parody I have ever seen. There are some really funny moments in it though. It is as stupid in places as expected from a film like this. But that is a good thing. It has got a lot of famous faces in it too. Dom DeLuise plays the Hanibal Lector rip off, Dr. Animal Cannibal Pizza. Billy Zane plays the FBI agent Jo Dee Fostar. It also has John Astin, Rip Taylor, Bubba Smith, Shelley Winters, John Carpenter, John Landis and Mel Brooks appearing. Now I find there are too many spoofs out there now. It was all funny until Scary Movie 3 onwards. I am not a fan of Disaster Movie, Superhero Movie, Epic Movie, Vampires Suck etc... the only decent recent one was Meet the Spartans. I thought that was funny. But back in the 80s and 90s, they were funny...Like I said, this is not the best one... but still good and worth a watch.I will give this film 6 out of 10.The legendary Dom DeLuise is great all the time. For more of my reviews, please like my Facebook page:http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ordinary-Person-Movie- Reviews/456572047728204?ref=hl

Alright, people think that this movie is the worst spoof ever, WICH IT IS NOT. This movie is stupid in some parts but also one of the Funniest movies I have ever seen. I own this movie and I watch it daily, i hope they make a DVD of this.

Take 10 lame American movies and add a few good ones. Stir around for a while, and let some Italians figure out the rest, and you have the funniest comedy ever made. Many people won`t like this one though. The 10 lame movies I mentioned are all big hits, and lot`s of people like them, so naturally this movie is not for everyone. Martin Balsam makes a very funny impression playing his role from Psycho. The Italian director does a enormously funny role as Italian "Norman Bates". Great fun.10 out of 10 easily. probably 12 or 13 to.
