(Credit IMDb) A woman suffering from multiple personality disorder tries to piece back together her life.I don't remember too much about this one to be honest with you. I just remember it being watchable for the most part with some standout performances. It's a bit of a shame Sarah Roemer didn't become as big as I thought she'd be, and Elisabeth Shue isn't quite as prominent as she used to be. Both girls are absolutely tremendous here, and have a solid rapport with each other. It has some decent suspense, and I dug Roemer's dysfunctional interaction with her family. The main problem I had with this movie is I knew where the movie was heading in the first 10 to 15 minutes. If you've seen this type of thriller a lot of times like I have, it's not that hard to figure out where it's going. I personally felt it was a bit convoluted, even though I knew it was coming. It's worth a watch on cable, or Netflix if you're bored5.3/10

Strong variety contrasts in characters and scenes. Like a good puzzle, you want to put the pieces together. Insightful and compassionate story, which would help outsiders to the issues dealt with to empathize with others, yet at the same time search your own self for issues that may be relevant to your life; i think this back and forth engagement creates a meaningful and helpful dialogues for all viewers to gain something more than they had before they viewed the movie. The actresses seem especially qualified to fulfill the characters developed, which is an asset to the success of this movie; too many movies quickly skim over characters and scenes due for a variety of reasons, from saving money to sometimes compromising when too many people are making decisions, or simply just trying to fit everything into a fixed time frame. I don't feel scenes disappear too quickly; we, as viewers seem to get the message at that particular point and are ready to engage the next piece of the story. Certainly, this reflects Katerine Brooks ability to form, edit, and reform a movie until it reaches it's necessary artistic closure.

After Loving Annabelle I had high hopes for this film and I so wasn't disappointed, It drew me in right from the start. If you go into this movie expecting another Loving Annabelle be mistaken it's far from it, never the less it is another well scripted, well cast, well produced masterpiece. The casting was perfection, It gave you a believable insight into what Mental illness could feel like. A little confusing in places but mental illness is I suppose. A taboo subject brought to the attention of hopefully masses. Katherine Brooks is so talented and a name to look out for in the future. So get comfy grab the popcorn and settle in for an entertaining film it's well worth the watch.

Waking Madison is an amazing film.  It was a long journey that writer and director Katherine Brooks allowed her fans to take with her. But it was worth every minute of it. As it is worth every second to watch this movie. It will take you deep into the psyche of a woman close to the edge. And in the end, you won't be satisfied if you watch the movie only once. Because it will leave you pondering and thinking for hours afterwards. At least for me, that was the case. The actresses' performances are great. Sarah really becomes Madison and while you're watching the movie, you will feel her pain, her confusion and suffering. And Elisabeth makes you feel, as if you are truly able to feel safe with her character- even though during the movie, you might think, that she is so different to any other therapist portrayed in other movies. The other actresses are acting great as well - I, personally, loved the character  Angel (Wendy Glenn) the most. Even though the parts of the movie, that play in the hospital reminded me a lot of the movie Girl, interrupted. Which is not a bad thing, of course. The filming is done very well as well. Not only the actresses and the story itself pull you into Madison's mind, but also the flow of the camera and the art of the pictures, the colors and symbols. That is another reason to watch the movie again - to see all the things, you haven't discovered the first time.Waking Madison is different to Loving Annabelle - but it still has Katherine Brooks' personal touch to it. A lot of it!   If you're one of her followers, you will see a lot of her in the movie - which is a great thing. If you're new to her films, make sure to learn more about this great director. It's worth just as much, as watching this movie.
