Not Cinderella's Type (2018)
Indy lives with her aunt and uncle and believes her life is fine until an accident brings a new guy into her life. Bryant Bailey is not Indy's type - she's never been into guys like him. But then again, she's never really known anyone so stubborn and caring that can also help her discover who she is and what she's worth. A modern telling of Cinderella, based on the novel by Jenni James.

This movie had so much potential.. but the actors were horrible and it didn't seem realistic at all! I didn't know what to expect but i had no expectations for this movie and they still let me down
A modern Cinderella story. Refreshingly realistic and thoughtful. It's a teen movie, but not goofy. Very sweet. Yes the "worst" part was the over the top Aunt and Uncle - but they're just playing the role. The rest of the movie was to well done for that to ruin it.
This is not a Rom Com or a movie for kids. It also has some dreadfully over the top acting. But the writers find a nice balance between fantasy and realism. Once you filter out the bad acting this is a nice lazy afternoon movie. I appreciated that the 'realistic' take on Cinderella does not argue that victims of emotional abuse can turn the tables on their abusers simply by sticking up to them.
This movie was a casual pick for me and then as i was watching it, it made me cry! I don't usually cry but this movie had the perfect amount of emotion and love! It was so good to watch a movie that didn't have the main character not stand up for herself.
