No words can describe my utter hatred for this appalling rendition of the BTK killer. Rating this film one out of ten compliments this truly disastrous excuse for a film. From start to finish, there was not one single highlight. The entire thing was horrendously put together; the script, acting, plot, lighting, direction, ACTING, factual information, ACTING, just to name a few. A number of scenes are literally laugh-out-loud-funny, for the atrocious way in which the entire thing is put together. This review may seem like an unjust and scathing attack on a low-budget film, but this is not the case. Just thinking about the movie I have just seen makes my blood start to boil. How this film was ever granted rights for production i will NEVER know. I am almost tempted to actually recommend BTK, because it is truly a stand-out in regards to how pathetic, and disturbingly awful it is. I can honestly say, in all my years of film-going, this is the WORST. MOVIE. EVER. I wasted over an hour of my life on this useless garbage, and would gladly have jumped off the nearest building beforehand, had I known what I was in for. ZERO out of TEN.

What a pile of ****. It is without a doubt the worst movie ever made that is on a DVD. Seriously, why is it at Blockbuster? There literally are NO POSITIVES about this movie. The only slightly positive thing I can say is that it ends. Some scenes are dragged on for what seem like years. How many ways can you hint to someone that you're about to kill them? It's seriously ridiculous. I was watching this with my cousins, and at one point, we actually just broke out in complete laughter for a good 10 minutes at how horrible this film is.The acting is TERRIBLE. The picture quality is TERRIBLE. The story line is NONEXISTENT. The visuals can be produced by a teenager on a computer. Oh and by the way, you'll find yourself laughing instead of being scared. At times, I really just turned my face away because it was that hard to watch. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this movie.I for one would rather stare at a wall for 82 minutes than watch this movie again.

I found this movie at my local Fred Meyers, It was 25 bucks so i was expecting something great, Im really into serial killer films and wanted to add this to my collection. I began watching it. I had to force myself to pay attention to the screen, It was the most awful movie i have ever seen. The acting was horrendous and the plot was jumbled and made no sense.I couldn't take it anymore and shut off the movie. I actually took it back to the store, something i have never done before. Even though they have a strict policy on not returning opened DVDs i forced them to take it back. I told them they should not sell this movie unless they want it returned and they told me that many people have returned it. So do yourself a favor and do not watch rent or buy this piece of crap. You have been warned.

While this is only technically a professional film it is the storyline which is entirely lacking. The camera work is shaky but that could be passed off as a Blair Witch Project effect. Rather than give any insight into the case, it focuses exclusively on the sadistic game he plays with each of his victims. For example , causing one to eat a live rat, before he extinguishes the victim's life. This is repeated for each of the many murders, dwelling exclusively on the sickness, but it is each time the same uninspired theme: bitter, self-righteous nut glories in his moment of power. The film derives all of its gore from quickly interspersed footage of slaughterhouse practices, which is a plausible creative innovation. The BTK in his maniac monologues to his victims makes much of the cruelty of slaughter houses. The film would portray the BTK killer as a sort of ultra-extreme PETA nut, (although as noted the rat also got snuffed).I had happened to view a survivor of BTK on TV and was looking for insight into the local society where this devil's authority went unquestioned. Rader was a building inspector. But there is no insight.Instead in the film BTK Killer it is almost as if this were Rader's own personal stroke film. If it gives scant scant insight into his life or the lives of his victims, neither is there any real focus on the police investigation. I could only recommend this film to actual sadists who presumably are in it only for the heavy breathing and not the story. For them, I think they get a lot of bang for the buck. I thought Danielle Petty (not a victim) is a very beautiful actress. Beyond that I can see no saving features to this film.
