Nice movie. The story is good.Though copied from Korean film A bitter sweet life it is good .Nice direction by Mohit Suri.Nice songs. That is why I likes Mohit Suri films. The acting was superb from Emraan Hasmi. The way he acted when he lost his love was excellent.Nice music by Pritam.Nicely produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt.Awesome dialouges. The story is excellent. The story is about Emraan Hasmi as a gangster brought up by gangster and the main thing is how he becamed gangster. His love story is superb as we see in his every films.Overall watch this movie for the wonderful performance by Emraan Hasmi.

I have watched the Film.According to me this one of Emraan's best. The Bhatts never run out of stories. To me Murder was disappointing ,Zeher,Kalyug and Gangster were nice and but this is awesome.Frankly speaking I would say this is Emraan's best acting till date as Shivam.Shriya Saran does not have a big role but gives us a delightful performance as Aaliya. Hong Kong seemed to be the right spot for shooting.Ashutosh Rana(Malik) executes himself brilliantly. Both Mohit(director) and Emraan have kept on improving since their debut. The action, thrill,Shivam's agony, regret and revenge is the USP of the film. The music has been extraordinary with songs like Toh Phir Aao and Tera Mera Rishta which add sparks to the film. But at the end of the day the film belongs to none other than Emraan Hashmi. He shows all the signs of a proficient actor. The film never dips and their a great enthusiasm throughout.Undoubtedly it is one of the biggest hits of the year.Hats off to the whole team of Awarapan.

I like Mahesh Bhatt's productions, but I do not go to see all his movies. If some directors, visuals, story-lines, music, actors appeal to me, I venture to those Bhatt cinema. The posters of this movie appealed me.This movie is a re-make (what else Mahesh Bhatt productions can do?) of South Korean movie "The Bitter-sweet Life".The story is about henchmen Shivam (Imraan Hashmi) who works for international mafia / girl trafficker Malik (Ashutosh Rana). Malik instructs Shivam to kill his comfort woman (purchased from girl trafficking trade) Reema (Mrinalini Sharma). But Shivam is not able to kill Reema because Reema reminds Shivan of his old lost love with a Muslim girl (Shriya of Tamil Sivaji fame). Instead Shivam decides to fight for Reema's freedom and unites Reema with her boyfriend. The Director Mohit Suri maintains a tight script throughout the movie. The first half builds up the story and the second half paces if up with actions and fights. The musical score / songs by Pritam is also very good. Imraan Hashmi has acted well and has improved a lot since his debut. Ashutosh Rana steals the show with his powerful performance. Shriya in the small role leaves behind good memories and one would look forward to her Bollywood movies. Mrinalini is good in calm scenes but overacts in tense scenes. There is an overload of action in the second half. The biggest drawback that let me down in the movie was the scripting of Imraan's escape from goon's hands. Throughout the movie all goons were shown immediately drawing out guns – in that scene, strangely none of the 15-20 goons had gun with them to shoot our hero. I think that scene could had been thought out more creatively to look acceptable. It has also the Hindu – Muslim, the India – Pakistani and Believer – Atheist angles to it. Mahesh Bhatt likes this kind of stuff for making some personal points of his philosophy and also appealing to different audiences' tastes.Overall the movie is okay – but could had been much better.(Stars 5.5 out of 10)

Awarapan is another average kinda movie from Bhatt camp. Though these people do come with good movies sometimes like Kalyug and Ganagster. This movie is like their most of the releases... Fair.It starts of well with some nice scenes that keeps you interested as well as curious but after that, it starts to drag and by the time it ends, the movie fails to make any impact. The emotional quotient is too much to bear and below-par acting of the support cast doesn't help either. Emraan Hashmi does well but still needs to improve. On the whole, a Just Average flick.
