Dude (2018)

Awkwafina is hilarious in this! Oliva Miltch's dialogue really captured the modern day girls' cool attitude towards guys and relationships. Love girls just opening up their body to get the sex they need. First time seeing a woman masturbating in bathroom fantasizing a guy, like a man in movies. Super refreshing to see it! The whole movie is about 4 girlfriends, each has their own life problem to deal with, the guys are in the picture there, but never the focal point. Really relatable! please make more movies like this Oliva" where are all the dicks at" lmao

As someone who recently graduated high school, this movie really hit home for me. i'm literally watching it two days after graduating. the characters were over-the-top but still relatable. i really related with lucy hale's character wanting everything to stay the same and really fearing the future and just not knowing what you're doing. the drug usage added comedy to the mix and really made for a good movie. don't listen to the reviews telling you not to watch this, if you need a high school movie that's actually relatable, watch it and if you don't like it, just turn it off :)

As a 16 year old high school kid, I throughly enjoyed this movie, despite its many negative and 1 star reviews. I felt a connection to the whole facet of growing up, as it is one of the parts of high school and of being a teenager i think about the most. I found a lot of the aspects about being a young adult very relatable, and brought back a lot of memories and even gave me some insight of the last years of my schooling. For a kid who loves these type of 'coming of age' movies, as it is a very prominent part of my life, I really enjoyed Dude and Lucy Hale, and have already recommended it to some of my close friends as I feel like they will feel the same.

I would've given this movie 4/5 stars if it weren't for one sloppily done borderline offensive plot hole. It honestly seems like the fact that Lily was raped was a complete after thought. Like the writers added it in as an after thought to make the audience more sympathetic towards Lily. They barely even touch on it after it happens. She was straight up raped and the only effect it had on her was making her more irritable. They completely minimized the entire thing. Which is just offensive to rape survivors everywhere. They could've done that so much better. If they had just taken the time and put in the effort they easily could've made this a great addition to the movie. I know this because the rest of the movie was just great.
