This is another classic Scooby-Doo film. While it isn't quite as good as "Zombie Island," it has similar elements that make it click. The film is one of my earliest childhood memories. The gang return and are their usual selves, and as usual, they provide some funny moments. Tim Curry is known for various villain roles, and he is very good as Ben Ravencroft. The story is well-written and full of intriguing mythology. It isn't as dark as "Zombie Island," but it still has plenty of supernatural elements. The scenery and backdrops are simply beautiful and filled with wonderful fall colors. This film also has possibly the best climax of any Scooby-Doo film with Ben Ravencroft causing all kinds of destruction with his ancestor's magic book. It will keep you hooked.Of course, the film is also known for introducing The Hex Girls. They are awesome characters, and they play great music. While it can't top "Zombie Island," this is still one of the best Scooby-Doo adventures out there. Very much recommended for all Scooby-Doo fans.RATING: B+

I have been a really big fan off scooby doo for as long as I can remember I literally grew up watching episodes of the gang exploring ghost and ghouls and I loved every minute of every episode. I soon discovered the films and got them all on tape and to this day I still watch them all the time even as I've grown they haven't got any less enjoyable. Scooby Doo & The Witch's Ghost is some really good fun and an enjoyable film for all ages the story is interesting and like most of the films has a surprising ending it's always someone you don't suspect! Scooby Doo & The Witch's Ghost is funny and has all the loving gang in it the music is also good the soundtrack being unique. I would recommend this film to anyone and especially to a scooby doo fan! Really is some enjoyable harmless fun.

Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost (1999) ** 1/2 (out of 4) Scooby, Shaggey and the gang get invited to Oakhaven by a famous horror writer. This town is famous for having the ghost of an old witch who was burnt at the stake years earlier. The gang ends up solving this mystery quiet easily but then a bigger case pops up. SCOOBY-DOO AND THE WITCH'S GHOST isn't a complete success but I think fans of the dog will find enough in it to make it worth viewing. What I enjoyed most about this film is the animation. That's not something I usually say but I thought the look of the film was absolutely the best thing going for it. This is especially true during the opening scenes when we first get to Oakhaven. The fall is in full bloom and I really loved how the orange and yellows colors are used so well. The actual mystery here isn't the greatest but I thought it was interesting enough to keep the viewer entertained in what was going on. The design of the witch was effective enough as were the other monsters that popped up at times. The comedy in the film isn't the best I've seen but there were a few good moments including a sequence where Scooby and Shaggy get to eat all they want in a restaurant.

This is very good. The animation is great, so beautifully done the backgrounds were, the story is neatly-set up, and this is the movie with the best voice talent. The only criticism with the movie is the song "wind, earth, fire and air" as the lyrics are rather uninspired. Tim Curry does a fantastic job in one of his most entertaining voice overs, especially when Ben is revealed evil, and Curry is allowed to show off his impeccable villainous side. The ending is quite good, and the Hex Girls are great. The ghost is 400 years old, so the language is obviously going to be different, comprehend. This is one of the best Scooby Doo movies, better than What's New Scooby Doo? anyway. Watch out for Goblin King and Zombie Island too. In case you haven't noticed, most of my reviews are positive, because I want to be encouraging about the films I've seen, and evaluate the problems also. 9/10. Bethany Cox
