Airline Disaster (2010)

What more can you say about a movie that has such a line as this in it? I have never seen a more beautiful whale in my life. I do believe the captain could have pulled up the plane into the stratosphere if he had shook the controls more. I wonder if I can get an armband that says FBI on it? Would anyone take me seriously? It is great to know that a Ford Econoline Van can take out a gun ship any day. They must be outlawed! I think ever airliner should be able to float. Heck, if they were that light fuel costs would not be so high as the plane could just float along with the wind. Why doesn't the secret service lady do anything other than listen to the bad guys do their thing in the cargo area? Why did the guy who blew up the gunship stuff like his money and cell phone not even get chard in the explosion? Why why why???

Not every film can have a 50 million budget. This is obviously a low budget film, still, the film is paced well, with no dead or boring scenes. No complete absurdities, You can dispel belief and get into the action. Thus, this is entertaining for being a B film. The less expensive CGI can break the suspension of belief, but, I say roll with them and continue to enjoy the action.Three different story-lines converging into one. Even an underlying moral message about greed. Plenty of angle shots, editing, and story changes to keep you interested. While there is no gratuitous killing or blood, be warned this is not for children.Baxter and the Secret Service agent (McKeon) stand out as actors, not Oscar material, yet, believable and never out of character or cheesy. I know someone will argue that with me, but, I rate B movies with other B movies, not against A movies.Worth the rental for a good B action film night, or buy for $4.99 and take to Thanksgiving weekend.

This has got to be absolutely the worst movie I've ever seen. It was almost worse than watching a train wreck. The only good thing about this movie was that it ended, finally. I couldn't believe the exceedingly poor quality CGI. The CGI looked like cartoon inserts. The acting was wooden; the characters were shallow and underdeveloped; did I say the acting was wooden and not credible? The story line was too ridiculous to even be believable. An airplane strikes fixed objects at speed and doesn't explode and/or crash or even show signs of damage on the outer skin? This movie should just have been formulated as a cartoon; at least then the viewer would be clear. Did I say this movie was the worst thing I've ever seen? The folks who produced/directed/starred in Airport, Airport 75, Airport 77, Airport 79-the Concorde, and some of the airplane disaster movies from the 50's should be suitably horrified. Even the reference to the gay President, a comment which ordinarily would have been interesting and worthy of conversation, seemed gratuitously cheesy. Don't rent this...but if you must, watch it on netflix or something.

Airline Disaster - had to be a drama right? Maybe a western movie? Nope...Ooops...well i guess I was wrong, because it wasn't a comedy and it wasn't action and it wasn't drama or suspense either.It was a mix of almost everything wrong that could have had another two rewrites and made into a really cool movie - but lack of judgment proved once again that stupid people in spots of power still have control over our world, what we watch, what is built and the decisions they make with the money that is in their hands.What I did like - was that the landmarks were destroyed, people died on the ground and that staff from the government organizations get fired - but it still needed work.With a little bit of effort and some more money, a well known cast and a little more action and login and this could have been a blockbuster.
