I don't know if I enjoyed this movie or if I was just tied from the ambien but it had its moments where the scares were there but than others where not so much....The acting was pretty bad in general the lead girl was pretty decent the red headed chick should just stop acting all together. I like graham denmans character I thought he was funny and his black cousin lol.The kills were all pretty damn lame, graham's character was pretty important and he dies from a damn flying chair...wtf!Hey but at least we got to see mindy Robinson's boobies!!!The visuals were pretty much spot on,all and all I enjoyed this movie it's worth a rent

Just put a bunch of obnoxious jerks in a haunted house, kill them off one by one with lots of gore and BOOS, put in at least one pointless nude scene and add an incredibly obvious 'twist' ending. Sounds like you've got it made, right? WRONG. There has to be some professionalism to all this, a level of finesse... and this is just a boring trudge through a brainless script targeted at the lowest common denominator, who might get off on this stuff while drunk one Halloween.Which reminds me... last year I had the cutest little trick or treater ever. He stood there with his mother asking for sweeties, with his tablecloth ghostie costume coming down to his waist. He was far more frightening than anything in this movie. Perhaps they should get him for the sequel. If I was at college right now I would be writing a thesis entitled 'The Downfall Of The Modern Horror Film'. Unfortunately, that boat sailed some time ago. I still think its a good idea... Any takers? 3/10

I didn't know what to expect when I saw the title, The Haunting of Whaley House. I lived in San Diego for years so I knew right away the house they were showing wasn't the Whaley House. I have also been inside and the area is lit at night because it is in Old Town. There is always a lot going on in that area. It isn't just the Whaley House that is haunted but all around the area so there are a lot of stories and most of the ones they told about the Whaley's were correct. The thing is they didn't even try to make it look like the Whaley House at all. I doubt they could with the low budget. When you step inside you don't enter a drawing room with a staircase you go right up near the front door. So I recognized it was just the ambiance of the house they were trying to portray and its rumored ghost appearances. I thought the acting was fine for a B-movie with a low budget. People have to start somewhere to hone their craft. Some of it has to fall on the director. I enjoyed the movie though and some things were predictable but I didn't mind. Having known many psychics I really liked the one they portrayed in the movie. The end was the kicker for me from the point where the sun comes up to the very end of the movie. It is enjoyable but not a top of the line horror movie. It is campy and makes you jump here and there. If you want raw entertainment and you like the B level of horror movies you will enjoy this one. I agree with another reviewer that the actors have been under rated.

Worst acting possible. We got this movie as a horror, turned out to be a comedy to us. 1. The redhead and all her faces and over acting were so comical it was unbelievable. Making faces and nodding like a looney during all scenes- oh dear it was funny. 2. Has anyone taught these actors that there is no need to make a pause after everyones lines? 3. Holy Dark Knight, the scene when the paranormal geek confronts the ghost was the silliest thing I have ever seen. 4. I can't say enough about how lame this was.Save you time and $$ unless you just want to laugh- which I don't think was the point of the movie.
