Bunnyman is the story of a group of friends on their way back from a spontaneous weekend trip to Las Vegas, and while driving through the remote regions of southern California they suddenly find themselves in a sickening game of cat and mouse with a five ton dumptruck and, when looking for help, stumble upon a nightmarish family who takes pleasure in dismembering and eating as many of the kids as possible.

First off let me get this off my chest, this film is NOT based on the true story of the serial killer. I can not stand when films say they are based on a true story, when they have nothing to do with the actual true life events. With that being said, I do rather enjoy the film. It has a fun sense of humor about itself. I would say this is the weird franchise that you should start with the latter films and work your way back since this is the worst of all the films. Still worth checking out. Bring on the Bunnyman !

Where to begin, this is the start of the Bunnyman franchise. I compare this to something like the original Friday the 13th where you lay down the ground work for the franchise. Yeah, both of the films are a little shaky, but they establish their respective franchises well. We see Bunnyman, yet the mystery remains where he comes from (apparently the filmmakers will address this is part 3). Sort of like Jason doesn't get the hockey mask until part 3. I like the mixed media they use in the film, and shows the filmmakers are a creative bunch. Of all the Bunnyman films, this is the most straightforward of the films. However, this original film hints at the craziness that is so evident in the sequels. I recommend viewing the film, to see where the franchise begins and because the film is highly entertaining. I recommend the film.

Oh. My. God.I like bad movies. I really do. Even if they're laughably bad, or have unintentional humor, I can find something to like, that make it worth sitting through the flick to the end. Whether somewhat recent, such as "Aliens vs Avatars" (2011), or ancient history, such as "The Giant Claw" (1957), I could find plenty to like and laugh about in a movie, no matter how bad it might be.Unfortunately, "Bunnyman" had no such redeeming qualities, except maybe the cute bunny-costume on the title character, and the incredibly hot Cheryl Texiera who's a pleasure to ogle, umm, watch. From the beginning, "Bunnyman" became almost too painful to watch, and only got worse. I don't think I ever, in any slasher flick, actually HOPED the "good" characters would meet their demise, but in this case, they were just so painfully stoooooopid that I found myself rooting for the Bunnyman, if only to make the movie stop! Their actions throughout the movie were akin to lighting a match in a dark cellar to find where's the leak in the gas main. You're left open-mouthed in utter disbelief. I can't imagine any twentysomethings with more than two brain-cells to rub together, to do what these kids did in the movie.I don't care about plot-holes that can be explained away reasonably, and I don't pick apart movies because they may have featured a 1972 Datsun, or a radio was playing a top-10 hit from 1971, when the movie would be ostensibly set in 1970, but, oh lordy, without getting into spoilers, these characters could win the Nobel Prize for stupidity.Watch this movie, if only to experience what might be one of the truly worst movies you'll ever come across. At least you'll appreciate actually GOOD bad-movies!

I wanted to give this movie a 0 but 1 is the lowest it goes.Where do I start with this one...Well let's start with the absolute ZERO acting ability of ALL the actors. They were all pathetic in every way shape and form. It's almost as like the producers grabbed a few people off the street and shoved them into this pitiful excuse for a movie. On the cover of the DVD it states that it's based on a true story. So I'm assuming that 6 people in a car (3 guys and 3 girls), on a deserted road in the middle of Bum-F**k Idaho couldn't out run a crapped out truck driven by a man in a Bugs bunny outfit, allowing this ONE man to kill them off one by one without ever thinking to themselves at the outset that there's only one of him but six of us. Yeah right!I found this movie to be more of a comedy than horror. For example, one scene where the first girl gets done in by this bunny wielding a chainsaw, she's just standing there basically waiting for it to happen. No screaming or attempt to run away or any form of self preservation whatsoever! Yep, this movie has it all together when it comes to making you want to believe it was based on true events. The Wiki review sums this movie up nicely...28 Days Later Analysis called Bunnyman an incompetent and frustrating mess, gave it a "generous" three out of ten and wrote "atrocious acting, zero character development, no tension, zero sense of pacing, poorly written, continuity errors abound, audio problems, ADR and dubbing, poorly written characters, forced tension, meandering story, etc.
