Once in a lifetime an event happens that is so monumental words can't describe it. "The princess promenade" is that event. After viewing it my life was changed forever. All that was old became new again, seen through the eyes of a child. I'm tempted to compare it to the condition "Synthesia" where the brain generates additional stimulus, but this is far more esoteric. There simply are no words in this language or any other to describe the impact of this film. "Brilliant" does not do it justice. "Justice" is not brilliant enough. "Supercalifragalisticexpialidocious" barely scratches the surface. This movie has ruined all other movies that come after it, for none can achieve the level of innate perfection of the Princess Promenade. Love it. Treasure it. Experience it. Be it.

This is maybe one of the best cartoons ever. The characters are great and the plot is even better. Even if this movie was made for kids I enjoyed watching it and i'm 25. Bunch of funny situations and humorous lines for all generations to enjoy guarantee 50 minutes od pure fun. I bought few copies of this DVD online and now I'm giving them as presents on b-days and Christmases, and everyone of my friends enjoyed it. Don't think that this movie is like Pixar movies, it's so much different and way better. I just sat there, on my couch, after the movie finished, thinking about it. As much the character Tra-La-La was funny with her clever one- liners, she made me think about the world. And, BTW, i still have that catchy theme song on my cell phone as a ring tone.

Please understand that the reviews above are not a joke. However, for those of you who are dubious, the hidden meanings of this multilayered and subversive film become apparent only after repeated viewings. You will need to watch it at least a dozen times before the cipher of coded content reveals itself. You may think that talk of "hidden sex scenes" is just parody, but if you watch the entire movie FRAME BY FRAME, there are at least eight levels of nested images and narratives in each single animation cell... which tend to affect children subliminally and ideologically.Don't be fooled. This film is exactly what reviewers say it is.

WOW.I don't know what to say. I thought the world devoid of objective meaning, but this movie has changed my life forever. The closest thing to a religious experience I have ever encountered - I will never look at a pony the same way again. Absolutely engrossing, enlightening stuff - as each plot point develops, its counterpoint is waiting in the wings to constantly expound and almost critique itself. Mark my words, we will see great things from this director!I am literally sitting here typing this in a pile of my own poop as I couldn't bear to tear myself away from this masterpiece for even a second. I didn't want it to end, I laughed, I cried, I got a bit over-excited. I'm off to clean up...
