Starring Jacqueline Bisset, Adam Garcia, Alice Evans, and James Naughton, Fascination throbs with danger, deceit, passion, and suspense as a pair of step siblings are torn between desire and suspicion in this sexy thriller. It was directed by Klaus Menzel.Scott Doherty is a young man in his early 20's who is still coming to terms with the unexpected death of his father when he learns that his mother, Maureen, is engaged to marry Oliver Vance. He doesn't approve of the marriage, and he soon learns Oliver's daughter Kelly, also in her early 20's, has similar misgivings, primarily because Oliver also just recently lost his spouse. As Scott and Kelly get to know one another, they begin to wonder if the recent deaths that made the marriage of Maureen and Oliver possible were entirely accidental, though their feelings become far more complicated when they enter into a passionate affair. This film is contrived and formulaic as well as it was laughable since it features loads of cheesy dialogue.Aside from that,we can't stay interested and much less fascinated due to the poor screenplay. The performance and presence of Jacqueline Bisset is the only reason why I gave this movie a 5 instead of 1 out of 10 rating.

I gave this film the vote of 4, basically for its music, otherwise it felt like watching some cheap Australian soap...I could not see any clever twist in Fascination. It was one disaster after another with two absolutely opposite endings ...The film was patchy with all sorts of obvious conspiracies loosely arranged to get something together.Yes, an unhappy wife, a seemingly disloyal husband, an affair and behind all a mastermind to use people's emotions for personal aims are all we have seen before and we all know about the thin line between love and hate. All the way through this movie I watched scenarios that I had seen before on other films and so I had this sense of Deja Vu all the time.

**********I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL IT BUT IF YOU READ BELOW THIS************ WORSE!!! Terrible! Terrible acting, the most sudsy of soaps story lines. The material from this film is like someone took all the scripts from 10 years of daily soaps and mashed it into one. What a waste for Jackie. She was the only reason to watch and her part was so one note. Don't waste your time!!The main reason for making this movie, in my opinion? Someone wanted to see the "love" interest for the son naked! Don't get me wrong, you won't see much, but there are plenty of simulated love scenes. Oh forget it, if you want that, go rent a good film, this would put "Skinamax" to shame!!

This movie is a must see for all Adam Garcia fans ...... he is nude in a few times in the movie. The story is OK, but the topless Adam is well worth a look. I bought it before seeing it .... well worth the buy. The story is like the saying "what a tangled web we weave ... when we practice to deceive" the only victim is Adam Garcia's character (Scott Doherty). It's a wonder that it went as long as it did, how could you not know that she was in on it ..... I knew as soon as she appeared .... Kelly may not have been totally at fault but she was in on it from the get go. The Special Features are interesting, the alternate ending wasn't that big of a shock to me .... thats how I thought it was going to end anyway.
