A journalist named Lee Custler (William Katt) is out jogging when a flying object passes behind him and crashes. Sheriff Joel Armstrong (Collin Brock) picks him up and they go to check it out. They find an abandoned caravan close to where the object crashed. As they discover the object and realize it is a spaceship, an Alien emerges. The Alien (resembling a giant spider with a lizard-like head and torso) then chases them, after which Lee flees to the car. However Armstrong makes a stand, trips, falls and is killed by the Alien that then leaves. A terrified Tammy finds Lee and they call the local authorities but their car is destroyed by the Alien.

OK, technically there should be some high school film projects that are worse, but excluding those, this is the worst movie I've ever seen. It's probably because plot holes and continuity issues drive me crazy. If you can laugh at that kind of stuff, then you'll love this movie. The best part will be when everyone is in a forest, runs off in completely different directions, wanders aimlessly while being chased by monsters, and then all magically end up finding each other at the same time on the other end of the forest. Or when one guy decides he'll sacrifice himself to slow the monster down and buy the others some time, even though his sacrifice is completely unnecessary and doesn't slow the monster down at all.And that's not even getting started on the miserable acting, writing, and CGI. I guess the sets aren't bad and the music is OK, but that's about all the positives you'll find. This is the movie that I compare every other bad movie against.

In Alien vs Hunter a washed-out T.C Boyle like writer and a group of other bleak characters get in the crossfire of a fight between the title-giving Alien and Hunter. While the two extraterrestrial species fight each other, the innocent humans are in danger of becoming their war victims. In other words: The Asylum made a blatant rip-off of the Alien vs. Predator franchise. The monsters look like they're done by a 7-year old playing around with Windows Movie Maker, there's a constant, annoying tone of yellow throughout the movie and the cast of characters is shallow and boring enough to guarantee you to never feel any sense of dread. Even if the movie cared enough about its characters to make us worry about them, there would still be no sense of dread: The supposedly epic battle between the Alien and the Predator .. I mean Hunter, is boring, soulless and just downright insulting to every movie monster battle ever. Of course, B-Movies are there to deliver cheesy lines, bad monsters and sloppy special effects but there is no love here. Passionate B-Movie filmmakers can make up for a lack of budget by putting heart into their stuff. The Asylum in contrary seem to have set themselves the task of making the most lazy movie possible. There's not one good line and not one gory scare. The only thing it offers is a warning to never ever watch an Asylum film again.

I had attempted to watch this film twice before actually getting to the end of it, however it doesn't make much sense, the plot needed to be better and make more sense towards the end. at one point they decide to do one thing then you don't know what's going on, and they introduce the alien far too quickly also it seemed like I wasn't the only person who was bored while watching this film mainly because the main character looks very unconcerned in most of the parts with action in it, and some people are smiling when there about to be shot. the hunters lazy and looks like one of the droids from star wars, the alien repeatedly does the same things over and over again and the entire film just rips off Alien Vs Predator and it does a terrible job of it.

This is one of the poorest films I've ever seen. Low budget yes - but that doesn't mean it had to be this horrible. The acting was really bad - probably something to do with the awful script. The sound recording was terrible too - half the dialogue was lost in many scenes - could they only afford one boom mike? Don't stand too far away from it! The camera-work was terrible too - far too close to the actors and nearly every scene chopped the top of their heads off - did the boom mike keep creeping into shot I wonder? If one character was shorter than another, then there was no chance of getting them both in. The "special" effects were anything but, and they clearly only had a couple of sets to wander around in, as the same rooms kept appearing - not even re-dressed to make them appear different. Worst of all was the way it kept jumping around. One minute they were running away from an alien next to a trailer in the middle of nowhere - the next they were in a town meeting in a big urban building with a load of new people who hadn't been introduced to us, then back to the woods again for some pointless running about. The funniest scene was when they all went outside to look around (for no reason), and it was supposed to be night so there was a cheap blue filter over the lens - with bright sunshine in the background visible. Chronic.
