A very loose and disappointing sequel to The Cell, Cell 2 stars a Sandra Bullock lookalike as a clairvoyant on the trail of a serial killer named The Cusp. Fifteen minutes into the movie and we know who the killer is. Shot on no budget, this Utah-lensed video makes little effort in the special effects department, in stark contrast to The Cell with its operatic sets and imaginative use of CGI. So it's pretty much a standard criminal pursuit film, and the truth is one can get more kick out of an episode of TV's Criminal Intent. Toward the end, for a few seconds, we get to see our clairvoyant heroine all gussied up. And I must admit I wouldn't mind spending a little time with her. But she is no Jennifer Lopez (or Sandra Bullock) in the acting department, at least not here. Frank Whaley costars.

I went into this expecting "The Cell 2," a movie with the beautiful and desolate mindscapes, the amazing costumes (one of my favorite parts of the first), and the devious serial killer. They got one out of three. They tried to do the mindscapes, but they just looked like cheap CGI thrown over a green screen. The acting wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, either. Same with the story. The idea of the serial killer was pretty brilliant, but ideas are cheap, it's how they're pulled off that matters most, and this was not done terribly well. The costuming was decent, but was something you'd expect out of Seven or Saw. The same with most of the setting (not much time is spent in the mental world). In other words, The Cell 2 becomes a poor clone of countless other clever-serial-killer thrillers.

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a movie with less thought put into it. Mostly I'm annoyed with the helicopter. Come on, they land and stop to talk to the officers in the trucks, but wait, they do it on the radio without anyone getting out of their vehicles. At the scene, the helicopter lands and the people that were in it do nothing to contribute, but if they'd stayed up in the air, they would've seen the perp get out. In the long chase seen, the perp magically appears in different areas due to very poor work splicing cuts together.I could go on and on, but I won't. Just don't see this movie. This bears little resemblance to the original and looks like it had little thought put into it by the director and producer. The Skylar character was awful too. To be fair, the other actors weren't nearly as bad. I think Chris Bruno actually did okay. The cheapness in this film was incredible. I can kind of understand doing a messy landing instead of really crashing the helicopter, but getting ALL your books from the library?

words cant even describe this turkey; Acting: HORRIBLE this reminded me of watching a high school play and was about as entertaining as watching amateur golf in slow motion...Wardrobe: wow did anyone notice that "FBI" agents plastic badge i have seen more realistic crap from the 99 cent store Storyline: ........I found myself laughing insanely i mean how did this make it off paper on to DVD.. IT could have been done with 3 characters the killer the victim and the cop the rest of the cast was useless..I cant even write anymore... i wish i had 4 hands so i could give this movie 4 thumbs down.. NOTE TO SELF.... WRITE A LETTER TO GOD AND BEG HIM FOR MY 2 HOURS BACK...
