This movie has so much negatives i dont even know where to begin. Movie was obviously made with a really low budget which explains the unprofessional actors which i tried to ignore as best as i could. The special effects used seem like those green screen effects you can find in a YouTube video for free. They even re-use scenes twice and they do not even try to hide it.The story is your average catastrophe movie following a family that is trying to survive in a catastrophe, it was really boring to follow and forgettable. And at one point the main character calls a plane to get them from a frozen lake with heavy snowstorm and mist. They just throw phones onto the snow with flashlights on and a plane sees the lights from over 200 meters in the air. My favourite scene since it does not make any sense what-so-ever.

As an Egyptian, First I wanna talk about the Egyptian environment itself:Egyptians are Arabs not Indians. Tariq is obviously not an Arab and it's easily noticed that his Arabic speech is just a weak acting, it's not about an Eastern actor and that's just it. We don't have Israelis here and we don't live among each other such easily. Between Cairo(where they the Pyramids are) and the RedSea(the evacuation point) is a great distance of about 450 KM which is impossible to cover before the sun is down. Even if they reached the evacuation point, they will not find themselves facing Jordan as they have to cross Sinai first to get to Aqaba Gulf where is Jordan. also, Camels in the desert are not such pretty and clean and it was so clear that they are not foreign camels not Egyptian.Secondly, for the film itself as abstract film:Visual effects are too poor. The whole film is about the survival of one family ignoring what's going in the world according to the title of the film. Amber loved Tariq from the first scene :"D and the father kissed his wife more than one times when it didn't demand, just to show intimacy which audience felt fake.

Other reviewers have complained about the editing, acting, CGI, and science (or lack thereof). I agree with all of them; however, my biggest complaint was how "Mom" was constantly hiding her face in "Dad's" shoulder and clinging to him, ignoring her children, leaving them to get help from others. Sorry movie people, once you become a mother, your "damsel in distress" card is pulled from your deck. If mom had been protecting son, he could not have caused so many disasters. Falling off of the train, jumping off the camel, totally out of control - parents, where are you? Dad, why weren't you protecting your daughter on that bumpy airplane ride? Leaving her to the tender care of a boy you just met? REALLY!?! If you want to see how NOT to parent your children in a disaster, check out this movie!I love the disaster movie genre but this one was really pitiful!

So I am scouting the various internet providers of streaming services like Amazon Prime to find a flick to watch. I find Age of Ice and start it up. Opening sequences and FX are poor but I continue and then I see 'An Asylum Production' that is a sign an signature of low budget, straight to streaming and DVD movies. When will I learn? I know Asylum productions are generally poor but every time I say to myself "this time they may have got it right". Well in the case of Age of Ice i think it is the worse film they have ever made. The FX, CG and overall production value is cheap!! The characters and their decisions do not make sense but then again neither does the story....................
