There is plenty of atmosphere, brutal violence, tension and thrills for everyone and the hyped up soundtrack keeps things moving along nicely. The cinematography is breathtaking, the camera work is exceptional, and the lighting is expertly used to create many different moods. Nadia Fares (The crimson rivers, War) who really sells this movie though. Her characters transition throughout Storm Warning is totally believable and the way in which her character eventually fights back leads to some brilliant scenes that will both surprise and entertain you. Watch out for the scene/decision of Pia, when she learns that she will be raped. Storm Warning is extremely graphic and disturbing. This movie is an awesome thriller with superb acting. It is very atmospheric and is never a dull moment. A brutal survival backwoods thriller. Directed by Jamie Blanks (Urban legend, Valentine).

I picked this up for three bucks, then 50 percent off at the why-are-they-still-in-business FYE store in the mall.I was ripped the hƏll off nonetheless, and here's why. This entire movie is a lie. The box, the cover, indeed the premise of this diaper-rash of a movie, promise a picture of gory suspense unlike anything you've ever seen. But you've seen everything here, better, everywhere else. Including Chuck E. Cheese's.There's nothing at all new here, except the Australian accents and the baby kangaroo that gets its head chopped off by a naked hottie in a bath towel. Now, friends, you'd expect that to be the money, here. You'd expect the filmmakers to be pitching this movie to their investors with the promise, "A naked hottie cuts a m'thr f'kn baby kangaroo's head off. Then she inserts a jagged piece of metal into her hello-there so the psychopath she knows is going to r@pe her gets his Mr. Winky all bloody shred up. And ha-ha, that's the end!"And you, the angel investor, would be throwing your grandma's inheritance at them and singin', "Hoo-ray for Hollywood!"Good luck seeing a return on that investment, friends, because this is the most boring, predictable, bloodless, soulless piece of uninteresting nothing you'll ever have the unfortunate opportunity to experience, disguised as envelope-pushing indie horror filmmaking."Dumbo" is more disturbing than this. These filmmakers have achieved the nearly impossible feat of making rape, torture, violence, suspense, poetic justice and b-movie gore, altogether, as boring and uninteresting as an episode of "The McLaughlin Group."Hey, movie-loving friends... You see this movie for a buck-and-a-half at the FYE at the mall, you let it be. Spend those six quarters on a Starbucks or an Orange Julius or a Redbox rental. Or heroin.Yes, heroin is better than this movie.

Oh my what a rush!! As a devout Horror fan, I've spent the past few months sort of "exploring", trying to enrich my knowledge and expand my "database" of Horror films and sub-genres. Storm Warning was definitely one of the better experiences I've had doing so.We started off with Rob (Robert Taylor), a usual macho guy who doesn't sound like he's wrong even when he's wrong, and his French girlfriend Pia (Nadia Fares), a usual kinda spoiled and slightly whiny girl. When their boat got stuck after they had got lost (not because of Rob's poor naval and navigation skills, heavens forbid, but because of many other reasons!) and Pia complained that she was cold and tired, they found a farm and hoped to rely on the residents' hospitality and trouble them for a phone call, maybe even a ride. These hopes were shattered very soon when they realized the people who lived in that farm were sadistic redneck crooked hicks (imagine the Christian cannibals from Judge Dredd who raised Marijuana for a living.Soon enough afterwords the rednecks started tormenting and torturing the couple in a few ways going from bad to worse (great screen writing!), and we witnessed a very pleasant surprise when Pia turned out to be the courageous resourceful one and Rob (injured by the hicks) turned out to be quite helpless and little more than a liability. It seemed the two weren't going to go down without a fight, and what a fight it was!Storm Warning is a cleverly written and directed story of a struggle to survive. Think "Wolf Creek" meets "I'll Spit On Your Grave". The acting is great, especially actors David Lyons, Mathew Wilkinson and John Brumpton who play the three hicks. The film isn't without gore scenes, but they aren't a pointless vulgar display of special effects budget, but actually help and go well with the plot. If in the beginning the audience fears for the couple's lives and well-being, they later feel the despair and hopelessness of the couple's situation, and finally the thrill of battle as the couple helplessly attempt to defend themselves against all odds. All in all - I enjoyed every second of the film, ever scene and every small nuance. If you don't scare/scar easyly and don't mind a lot of blood and very disturbing scenes - I'd highly recommend it!

(Small spoiler)I start of with the plot Revolves around a couple that becomes lost in a massive storm and seek refuge at a nearby farmhouse, only to be captured by deranged killers. As two couple soon found out there lives are in danger,I felt sorry for them at first and cared for them until the women kills there dog after they were attacking her boyfriend, why kill the dog, what did the do dog to killed, after I did not care for them and I Wish she was killed, I hated her for killing a dog and I was killer side in this movie. There was not much else I can say about this movie as there wasn't much going on in this movie until the last ten minutes or so.And those scenes had some really funny gory deaths, After that the movie ended way too fast for me, I asked my self "it that it? 4 out of 10
