For the record,I have no skin in this game. Just stumbled across this film.I thought the scene on the mountain was very well done - kudos to the actors, especially Ilya. Looks almost like they shot it in one take. The second part is interesting because I am a fan of revenge films. I didn't think it was at all predictable, and felt the protagonist at the end did a good job portraying the moral implications of his actions. The long shot was a good idea. Overall I really enjoyed this movie, which just goes to prove that people have different tastes and opinions.

I really was thinking for over one hour to find something positive about this film... but i couldnt find any.. What a garbage of a movie.. that so called "Bad" guy is more of a comedian.. what an overacting morron...Bad story, bad acting, bad... well you name it...Is there really nothing good about this movie... well yes there is... The end is the best part of the movie...Like more people allready said, Don't let the rating fool you.. this movie is really a waste of time...

Aptly titled, this Georgian thriller focuses on a US tourist who steps on landmine in the former Soviet State and finds himself at the mercy of a moody local who makes grisly demands of the tourist and his friend in exchange for help. With a few interesting plot twists and a very novel premise, 'Landmine Goes Click' gets off to a solid start, milking the tension of the protagonist being unable to move for all that it is worth. Events nevertheless become a bit repetitive by the halfway point as the local's demands grow predictably more grotesque and the middle section here undeniably drags. Things pick up very well in the final third though. The final third is such a massive change of pace that some viewers have been critical of it, but it actually fits in very well thematically with the rest of the movie. The last few minutes are particularly haunting and provide a brooding conclusion that comes quite unexpected in this sort of motion picture. Little more can be said without ruining a fresh experience of the film, but suffice it to say that the project ultimately goes beyond the confines of the slim premise. Sterling Knight is excellent in the lead role, nicely balancing out the emotional roller-coaster that his character endures. It is also interesting to come across a Georgian financed and produced film that so readily plays upon American anxieties regarding travel to foreign lands.

The plot on IMDb sounded alright. It's terrible. I am unsure as to how voters have rated it 6.3? It goes from bad to worse with B grade acting by the lead female. Or maybe that is just her character, nonetheless it is poor. The one lone character with the dog and his role in this film is a role where we sat and felt uncomfortable and squirmed in our seats. Poor acting, poor script, just poor. You won't get that 2 hours of your life back if you watch this. Good acting by character Chris, who is caught on the landmine, during most of the film. I also love Dean Geyer as he is a fellow Aussie. His character and acting was OK but I still think the script writing was poor.
