I happened to have seen this today on TV and I never seen it before but if you seen the film Starstruck starring Sterling Knight and that other chick who was with him well you have basically seen the whole film by watching this movie. Chris Trousdale plays himself and he is tired of being famous as he is in a band called Dream Street(which I thought was a made up band but it happens to be a real band that Jesse McCartney was in before the band split up).Trousdale was seen on Disney Channel's Shake It Up playing an adult who makes out his 16 years old but really 24. Back to this film however and he ends up in one of his idols houses called Debbie, who has a crush on Chris since his Dream Street days. Of course he ends up staying in her house for a few days and an unlikely set of romance begins to show up with the two charcthers.Chris reminds me of a young Ryan Reynolds for some strange odd reason and to be fair if you are a die hard fan of Dream Street than you are gonna love this movie or if your a pre-teen than you'd like it too. Me I wasn't the target audience for this(I watch a lot of animated movies especially Disney but hey I love Disney),this movie however was totally unrealistic. Its like if Ed Sheeran or Justin Bieber hated being famous and hooked up with me and we fell in love its basically a fantasy that the writer must have had one of those daydreams of being in love with a famous pop star and getting to hang out with them. The story is silly, the premise is stupid and seriously the disguise Chris had as a nerd was so stupid like I knew straight away it was him. Granted if he wore a wig and contacts and changed his accent it would be cool but he didn't only a pair of glasses. Overall like I said this is pure rip off of Disney Channel's Starstruck which came out in 2010. So if you have seen Starstruck then there is no need to have seen this movie.Even the ending was sorta sappy I could cringe.3/10

Let me just start by saying that I had no knowledge of Dream Street's existence until 3 months ago, I just never new about them, but I've at least known about Jesse McCartney as a solo artist for a long time. I started checking out their music videos, live performances, and interviews, and it surprises me that Jesse ended up being the breakout star of the group. Why? Because after seeing that Chris Trousdale was the ultimate favorite member, I find it weird that he didn't become the most successful member. I enjoy Dream Street's music, and I wish I had known about them when I was a little kid. Now, I had only seen parts of this movie, and that was enough for me to know that it sucks, and that it's just a cheap, boring, predictable chick flick, and the fact that Chris Trousdale was playing himself just proves that he has no acting ability. I already know how this plays out, and this kind of story has been used so many times that it just bores you out, and the girl Debbie(Kaila Amariah) has such an annoying and grating voice, it's so sickening and makes you feel like punching her in the face, and the overall premise is so corny. The only good thing about it was probably the soundtrack, which primarily consisted of Dream Street songs, and a few other various artists such as Swedish pop girl group Play, but even so, the soundtrack isn't worth buying. Why? Because it'll end up being a waste of money, especially if you already own Dream Street's album. Another thing I gotta say about this is that how the hell did Pat Morita get roped in to this nonsense, I mean it's sad that he agreed to be apart of this movie. That's all I gotta say about this movie, it's not worth anyone's time. 2/10

The reason why I have headed this rating "Good But Disappointing" is because I felt that ALL the Dream Street members would have actually had some lines in the movie and not just Chris Trousdale.Chris Trousdale, 17 at the time of the film, is a talented young man with a lot of potential to make it into anything that he puts his mind to. I am huge fan of Dream Street and being from the UK am also one of few who have actually heard of Dream Street. Each character, in my opinion, played completely different roles, all of which were played very well, especially Chris's and Kayla's. I must say that I most enjoyed the two cops who were very amusing and also the kid who played Garfield was also a joy to watch.Overall, I felt that is was a great film with a little more work to be done on the story line. Thanks for reading.
